We’re rather proud of our awesome team at Chapter, so we thought it’s about time we shared!
Next up, here’s Claire our wonderful Wellbeing Lead:
What inspired you to join Chapter?
I am passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve their potential and Chapter is a small charity doing big things for people who might not otherwise get support. Having a chance to help people in this way is really a really valuable role.
What’s the best bit about your work?
I get a real buzz out of helping people and seeing the impact which having the right support can have on people’s wellbeing.
Claire, what’s your own wellbeing ‘go-to’?
I have a lot of things which keep me going! Connecting with my family and friends, getting outside every day and being silly with my boys who are the funniest people I know. It’s common to find me on the swings or scootering alongside them (why should they have all the fun)!
Tell us something unusual, or unexpected, about you that not many people would know.
It’s not particularly wacky to people who know me but I love a good festival with like-minded people, great music and a positive atmosphere. I’ve been to Glastonbury quite a few times and feel like being covered in mud in a field is my happy place!
What’s your favourite inspirational quote for life?
‘Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain; but there can’t be a rainbow without a little rain’
What 3 things are you most grateful for?
Jaffa cakes, my children and my children going back to school shortly!
Lastly. What would you say to someone who’s thinking about contacting Chapter for support?
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help but contacting Chapter and asking for support is the first brave step in feeling better. The team at Chapter will support you as an individual, without judgement or pressure and could help you to take some positive steps which could make a big difference.
