Activity Volunteer

Deliver activities that support people with serious mental illness to engage in their local community. Activities range from walking groups, board game sessions, photography groups and healthy eating classes. Maybe you’ve got a skill to offer that would allow us to offer a new activity.

You don’t need any experience in mental health or of working with people as training will be given. If you’re friendly, supportive and good at lifting the spirits of others then you’d be the perfect Chapter activity volunteer.

Volunteer Fundraiser

Fundraising is an essential source of income for Chapter and helps us to deliver mental health support and services. We’re always on the look out for community fundraisers to help with coordinating and delivering bucket collections or planning and running fundraising events.

Our fundraisers come from a wide range of backgrounds and whether you’re the outgoing type that loves to meet new people, or if you prefer to work behind the scenes, we’re sure to find a great role for you.

Trustee

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the charity. The Board meets regularly during the year to consider, determine and review Chapter’s strategies and policies.

A full induction is offered to all new Trustees, and we welcome individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.

If you think this is a role you would like to pursue, please contact us for an initial discussion.

Admin or Business Volunteer

Behind the scenes we rely on volunteers to help with business administration, IT, social media, producing promotional material, writing reports and assisting with marketing.

Perhaps you work in a admin or business role and want to share your skills with Chapter, or maybe you’re looking for some experience to add to your CV, whatever your experience we’d love to hear from you.

Student Placements

We love to support students to gain real world experiences. Whether you’re studying mental health, health & social care, public health, business, marketing, or any other subject, if you’ve got something to offer Chapter we’d love to hear from you.

What we can offer you

Volunteering at Chapter will give you the chance to:

  • meet new people
  • learn new skills and gain valuable experience
  • make a big difference to people in your community
  • Access free training, workshops and accredited courses
