Meet Wren, Chapter’s marketing assistant!

What inspired you to join Chapter?

I have always really wanted to find a career where I could be part of somewhere that worked towards positive goals and helped people. Mental health has been very prevalent in my own life and in my family and friends, so finding Chapter was a wonderful opportunity that perfectly lined up with my life and views, as well as being that place that makes a positive difference to people.

What’s the best bit about your work?

Helping make sure that the programs we run, and help we offer, get out to the people who need them most is a great feeling.

Thanks for that. And what’s your own wellbeing ‘go-to’?

I love painting or reading, so if I’m having a bad day I’ll curl up with a book or pull out my paint. Or sometimes play some games with my friends online.

Perfect. Wren, tell us something unusual, or unexpected, about you that not many people would know.

I stream video games on Twitch, sometimes with friends I’ve met from all over the world! I also run four games of Dungeons and Dragons in my free time, it’s a great creative outlet and a fun excuse to hang out with my friends.

What’s your favourite inspirational quote for life?

“No matter how dark the night, the morning always comes” Its a quote from Final Fantasy X, because I’m a nerd, but it’s a good one to keep in the back of my mind

What 3 things are you most grateful for?

My dogs, my friends… the Final fantasy and Kingdom Hearts franchises…

Any noteworthy professional associations / qualifications?

I have a Bachelors degree in English and Creative Writing, and a Masters in Nineteenth Century Literature and Culture, I’m very proud of the fact I managed to write my MA dissertation about Assassin’s Creed.

Lastly. What would you say to someone who’s thinking about contacting Chapter for support?

Do it! It could be a turning point, and it’s what Chapter exists for!
