Meet Kate, Chapter’s new wellbeing coach!

What inspired you to join Chapter?

I loved the positive approach Chapter takes to mental health support. When I saw that Chapter was all about resilience-building and empowering people I thought, sign me up!

What’s the best bit about your work?

Getting to meet and work alongside so many wonderfully interesting people.

What’s your own wellbeing go to?

Cooking or baking, walking my dog, foraging or getting lost in a good book.

Kate, tell us something unusual, or unexpected, about you that not many people would know.

I’m part Sicilian, so I am obsessed with pasta in all its forms and I can’t help but talk with my hands!

What’s your favourite inspirational quote for life?

“Always remember that you matter, you’re important & you are loved. You bring to this world things no one else can” from The Boy, the Mole, the Fox & the Horse by Charlie Mackesy.

What 3 things are you most grateful for:

My family, books and my cocker-spaniel Nellie.

Any noteworthy professional associations / qualifications?

I’ve been studying Counselling and Psychotherapy for 3 years so far and I’ll be a qualified Counsellor by next spring.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about contacting Chapter for support?

Reaching out for mental health support is a hard and it takes guts. But I have been there too and it was one of the best thing I’ve ever done.
