Meet Wendy, Chapter’s Determined Wellbeing Coach

What inspired you to join Chapter?

I have spent my working life and my studies in the area of mental health and especially like working in the voluntary sector so when I found out about Chapter I was determined to get involved.

What’s the best bit about your work?

I joined Chapter in 2004 and I could not have wished for a better place to work. I get to meet great people and be part of a team that provides something that can make a difference.

Wendy, what’s your own wellbeing ‘go-to’?

A walk with my dog every day in all weathers and all seasons.


Tell us something unusual, or unexpected, about you that not many people would know.

I love walking and have done quite a few long-distance walks in different parts of the country.


What’s your favourite inspirational quote for life?

The best time for new beginnings is now


What 3 things are you most grateful for?

My Family and Friends. This Beautiful World. The NHS.

Lastly. What would you say to someone who’s thinking about contacting Chapter for support?

The first step is always the hardest but I have known so many people who have said that Chapter made a difference. It is worth getting in touch.
