Chapter volunteer Mandy White

Chapter volunteer Mandy White named as CWVA’s Green Champion of the Year

We’re delighted that Chapter Mental Health’s very own Mandy White has been named Green Champion of the Year for the time and effort she has given to volunteer for our charity over many years.

Every year, Cheshire West Voluntary Action’s (CWVA) Volunteer Awards celebrate the achievements of volunteers in our community. Their winners will be announced over the coming weeks ahead of Christmas.

However, CWVA has revealed that their Green Champion of the Year is Mandy White, who has been one of our amazing volunteers at Chapter for a number of years.

As climate is one of the key themes of this year’s CWVA’s volunteering campaign, Green Champion of the Year is a new category for 2021.

In a post on their website, CWVA said: “While Mandy’s volunteering goes back a number of years, she’s really stepped up to the mark by looking after Chapter’s Polytunnel in Hoole, helping grow fresh vegetables.”

“She is very willing to share her skills and knowledge with other people, especially those who live with a mental health condition, so they can learn to grow their own produce and focus on something else for a few hours.”

“Everyone at CWVA would like to congratulate Mandy on being named Green Champion of the Year.”

The entire Chapter team would also like to congratulate Mandy on this amazing achievement and thank her from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible work she has done with Chapter.

There are plenty of volunteering opportunities available with Chapter to support positive mental health in our community. If you would like to join Mandy in supporting our work, find out more information here.
