The Workout Parent – Exercise on us!

Being a working parent is hard, and over the past year, it’s gotten even harder. Working from home has meant we rarely get a break from both work and family, barely having a moment to ourselves, and it’s hard to stay active trying to juggle work and kids sometimes.

However! Here at Chapter, we’re kicking off our #MoveMoreMay with a new project, specifically developed with all of you hard-working parents in mind – The Workout Parent

Research shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing your risk of stress, depression, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

NHS England

The Workout Parent is designed for you to take forty-five minutes, twice a week through May and June, to focus on yourself and join a group of fourteen other like-minded parents in a led workout via Zoom. Your coach will provide SMART goal setting and weekly one-on-one accountability check-ins to keep you on track and achieving your best.

The project is free! The Workout Parent has been developed using funding from Sports England in order to give working parents a well-deserved well-being boost that they may desperately need. Exercise and time to yourself is something that has been proven to improve mental well-being, while at the same time maintaining our physical well-being – and here at Chapter, we hope to be able to assist in providing you with just that.

Aerobic exercise has been found to be effective in alleviating several anxiety and stress-related disorders.
