Feeling stuck, low, anxious, isolated, or like your get-up-and-go has got up and gone?
BELONG Boost is a free 12-week activity and wellbeing programme from Chapter, helping adults in Chester and West Cheshire build confidence, connection and feel-good movement — one small step, walk, paddle, stretch, throw, climb or wobble at a time.
No Lycra required. No judgement. No “fitness bro” energy. Just friendly people, gentle encouragement and a weekly boost for your body and mind.


What is BELONG Boost?
BELONG Boost is designed for adults experiencing mental ill-health, low confidence, social isolation or barriers to being active. It offers three weekly ways to take part: online bodyweight training, a guided wellbeing walk, and a “try something new” activity with local partners.
Over 12 weeks, you’ll get the chance to try different activities such as walking, racquet sports, climbing, cycling, paddle sports, weightlifting and more — helping you find movement that actually feels good for you.

How it works
Monday
Online bodyweight session
No equipment, no problem. Join from home and move in a way that suits you.
Wednesday
Guided wellbeing walk
A relaxed 60-minute walk in local green spaces. Chatting optional. Fresh air included.
Thursday
Try Something New
A weekly activity taster — from badminton to canoeing, climbing to pickleball, and more.
You don’t have to attend everything. BELONG Boost is flexible, because real life is… well, real life.

Who is it for?
BELONG Boost is for adults in Chester and West Cheshire who may be:
- Experiencing anxiety, depression or other mental health difficulties
- Feeling isolated or disconnected
- Living on a low income
- Unsure how to start being active
- Wanting to build confidence gently
- Looking for a welcoming group where they can belong
You don’t need to be “sporty”. You just need to be curious enough to give it a go.

Chapter brings over 30 years’ experience supporting adults with mental ill-health across Cheshire West and Chester, alongside established referral routes through GPs, NHS services, social prescribers and self-referral.
