Deva is our support programme for people experiencing severe and enduring mental illness. Following a tailored pathway, Deva is empowers people to live independently and has three key aims:
- Achieve better mental health
- Feel more confident
- Set and work towards goals for the future
The programme offers participants one-to-one support with an experienced mental health support worker and access to a variety of activities and training opportunities to develop coping strategies, build confidence, and reduce isolation.

How do I access Chapter’s support?
Deva is open to anyone over the age of 18 and living in the West Cheshire area who has a severe and enduring mental illness. Ask your mental health professional or GP to complete our online referral form.
How long can I be supported by Chapter?
Our service is not time limited. We offer continued support throughout your time with us.
What can I expect when I’m referred?
You will be assigned a mental health support worker, who will meet with you regularly to provide support and guidance, assist you to establish and work towards goals, and support you access our community activities and training opportunities.
What kind of things might I do?
We offer a wide range of support options. These include 1-2-1 support with your mental health support worker, clubs and activities that will enable you to meet new people, and training courses, voluntary work and work experience on a placement in a wide variety of settings.
What will it cost?
The service is completely free. We fundraise to cover our costs.
